WRGW DRAWS BIG FOR 5TH ANNUAL OCTOBERFEST, DRAWS LITTLE COVERAGE IN HATCHET! October 13th, 2003: Celebrating the 5th anniversary of the opening of their new studios in the Marvin Center, WRGW drew around 250 students to University Yard with free food and music with their annual OctoberFest. The Bicycle Thieves, Sad Bastards, Alfonso Valez, A Day in Black and White and The Apes performed as students relaxed, enjoyed free food and learned a lesson in political awareness from co-sponsor Common Cause. However, despite the crowd and history of the event, The Hatchet failed to cover the event, only giving WRGW a picture and blurb in the online edition. ~Investigated by WRGW staff comprised from the GW Hatchet's Archives |
