WRGW PRESENTS MF DOOM AS PART OF THE LIVE FROM THE BALLROOM CONCERT SERIES!

February 10th, 2005:

WRGW brought Hip Hop artist MF Doom to the Marvin center Grand Ballroom for a sold out show as part of their Live from the Ballroom Concert Series.

"Hip Hop heads in the community are really excited for MF Doom," stated Andrew Nosnitsky, WRGW's Hip Hop Director.

Hailed for his top-selling follow-up as MF (Meetal Face) Doom, the artist is known for metaphor-laden, pseudo-concept albums and theatrics in his performances, dooning a metal face mask as of late.

Performing for a capacity crowd, Doom and local acts Shambhala and Labtekwon provided music not otherwise heard in the concert series.  Brian Goldberg, WRGW's Music Director, stated,  "We want to put on a good show for the GW community.  A lot of people at the radio station really like [Doom], and we knew that he would attract a wide community."
