RADIO STATION GETS A NEW NAME: WRGW!!
March 17th, 1959: In a variety of changes, the university radio station has revised the constitution and made changes in the format. The radio station's new call letters will be WRGW and Station Manager Stuart Gelber is planning for a "spectacular inauguration broadcast...featuring local and national celebrities."
The constitution has been revised to meet specific administrative suggestions and according to the new changes, WRGW will be directly responsible to the University Public Relations department. Miss Lilian Brown, director of radio and television, Professor L. Poe Legette and Professor George Abraham are to serve as faculty advisors.
