WRGW TO GET A NEW HOME, NEW LOOK, NEW SOUND: WATCH OUT!! April 22nd, 1999: Some people are aware that GW does have a radio station, some people aren't, either way that aren't listening to WRGW. All that's about to change. Over the summer, WRGW will be going through a major facelift. With the culmination of the merger between WRTV and WRGW, new state-of-the-art start studios on the ground floor of the Marvin Center will be built. Junior Jason Cohen, general manager of WRGW adds, "We are in the middle of redefining our image and hope to become a major force on campus.
DJ Michael Norton is excited about the new studios and hopes it attracts more attention to the shows. His show only got 2-3 callers last semester and is excited about the new change. Jason Cohen also has made two decisions towards the future. He is experimenting with an option to broadcast over the Internet on a web site that is being created for WRGW and the station will not retain record players, so is selling their vinyl collected on the H Street terrace next week. -Investigated by WRGW staff comprised from the GW Hatchet's Archives |
