WRGW News Staff & Reporters
News Director:
Mallory Thompson is a senior majoring in journalism with a minor in art history. She is from Vidalia, Georgia, a tiny town down south probably best known for its sweet onions. Mallory is currently interning with Belo Broadcasting's Capital Beauru. She has worked for WMAL Radio and interned for WTOP Radio. She is slightly obsessed with the Beatles, although she loves most classic rock, and is an avid collector of records. At GW, she is also president of the GW Bands and is a former White House intern.

Taylor Barnes is a junior majoring in journalism and hails from Bakersfield, California. Taylor also works in GW's Office of University Events, but this summer she is working for XM Radio on the Bob Edwards Show. In her spare time, she loves to knit, read, jam to music from the early 60s (especially Simon & Garfunkle) and make documentaries. Plus, she's a huge GW Basketball fan...she even has shoes to prove it!
Jared Pliner is a sophomore in the School of Media and Public Affairs, majoring in journalism. He comes from Marblehead, Massachusetts, a coastal town north of Boston and the birthplace of the American Navy. In high school, Jared was the chair of the student government and the captain of the mock trial team. In 2007, he made it on the airwaves as the youngest host of Magic 106.7's "Bedtime Magic," Boston's most popular nighttime radio show.
