Welcome to WRGW's Promotions Department!
ATTENTION DJs:
MARKETING REQUIREMENT POLICY
In accordance with current station policy, it is required of each DJ to fulfill marketing requirements for each official WRGW event. Marketing requirements can be fulfilled by participating in either one street team run before the event, or staffing one shift at the event. Sign up sheets for all shifts and runs will be posted on the PreProd Window approximately one week prior to the event. If a DJ cannot participate in any of the posted shifts or runs, he or she may be considered exempt if he or she e-mails our Promotions Director, Husna Kazmir, at WRGWPromotionsDirector@gmail.com in advance. Should a DJ fail to participate in the marketing for an event, and fail to send an e-mail to the Promotions Director, that DJ shall incur a strike for his or her show.
What Do We Do in the Promotions Department?
WRGW's Promotions Department is responsible for the positive publicity of all current events, programming, and giveaways at the station, and the station itself. We accomplish this through on-air promotions and sending street teams out on campus and into the city with posters and palmcards. We work closely with most of the other departments in the station to make sure we can keep the entire student body up to date with everything going on in the station. We work especially closely with the Accounts and Business Departments to offer students fun opportunities like attending free movie screenings and sports events.
