As WRGW’s largest department, over 100 show hosts take to the airwaves each week to share their favorite albums, artists, deep cuts, and playlists with listeners worldwide. From indie rock to underground hip-hop, punk, and deep house, WRGW hosts are not just DJs but tastemakers and curators of sonic experiences.
The music department is committed to making our station an important part of the D.C. music community. Each year WRGW hosts a Battle of the Bands as well as Fall and Spring Gigs. We also partner with several venues around D.C. to provide our station members with ticket giveaways and opportunities for concert coverage. Some of our partners include:
