About WRGW

We are Truckapalooza, open-mic nights at Baked and Wired, Reptar at Sixth & I Synagogue. We are Colonials radio, and we should be your go-to DJs. We live here, on Facebook, through Twitter, and with Instagram.

This student-run radio station streams live from 8am to 2am seven days a week (as long as school is in session). Shamelessly rely on us as insurance against those awkward online-at-Gelbucks moments with the News, Sports, Music, and Talk.

Because if you’re into it, we host it, post it (music, sports, news), get creative with it, promote it, or support it.

Questions? Answers:

Where is WRGW located?

WRGW is located on the ground floor of the Marvin Center at The George Washington University in room G02. Those microphones behind the glass? Not for show.

How do I listen to WRGW programming?

Tune in to WRGW online by clicking the “Listen Live” icon on our homepage, by downloading our live stream on iTunes, or via your mobile device on the TuneIn application; search for “District Radio.”

Does WRGW provide live coverage of Colonials sports?

Every sport, every season, all live. Football excluded (we can’t get the rights). You can also follow in-depth analysis on our sports blog.

Can I get involved in WRGW?

Depends on what?

On you. Are you a seriously interested, naturally cool, genuinely curious, open-minded, and inclusive kid? Then yeah, obviously. Go here. Simply resume obsessed? We feel your pain and invite you to listen.

Can I get involved in WRGW, even if I don’t want to go on-air?

Absolutely! Write for our News, Sports, or Music blog. Join our Production department to make some (rather hilarious) station identifications. Team up with our Operations department, whose members are celebrated as WhenRadioGoesWrong heroes. Release the budding business major from within working for our Marketing Department. Whatever. Look, we believe in the individual; make your choice.

How can I contact the station?

Call in at 202-994-9749. Even better: check our cool contact page, and use it. Or tap the glass on your way back from the bookstore.

Does WRGW host in-studio performances?

Duh. We’re a college radio station. Spend some time on our music blog to get a sense of the performers who have stopped by, want to stop by, and will stop in. We also encourage you to check out our schedule. There you will find the links to individual show’s Mix clouds, where recordings of in-studio performances are posted.

Will WRGW DJ my event?

We would love to DJ your event! For a (small, hard earned) fee, outlined under (HIRE US).

Does WRGW accept submissions?

Drop them off, or mail them in to:
WRGW District Radio
800 21st Street, NW, Suite G02
Washington, D.C. 20052

Can I rent equipment from WRGW?

If you promise to play nicely and return it in a timely manner, the equipment is at your disposal. Please see (HIRE US) for the nitty-gritty.

How can I follow WRGW?

Check us out on YouTubeFacebookTwitter, and Instagram. We’re known for giving out the occasional pair of (awesome) concert tickets. Like us, follow us, (admire?) us. Thank you.

What else should you know?

WRGW is generously funded and supported by the Student Association. So here’s a shout out to the kids grinding up there on the fourth floor of Marvin. Oh, and we’ve been around since 1929.
