Noah Weinman, known as Runnner, has been making a name for himself the past couple of years through nostalgia powered bedroom-pop music. Hailing from Los Angeles, Weinman didn’t find much musical inspiration until he moved to college. It was only then that he began to reconcile with a home that made him such a drifter. With lyrics that cover everything from his own perceived shortcomings and worries to finding the beauty in the most banal moments, Runnner portrays the ordinary as momentous.
Runnner just released his debut full-length album, like dying stars, we’re reaching out. The record, which is self-described as being “our desperate attempts to be who we want to be, despite knowing that our attempts will fall short,” perfectly sums up Runnner’s past as well as presenting lyrical mission. The album is sentimental for lost moments and the musical composition is reminiscent of tidal waves that just draw you deeper and deeper into his world. Catchy and upbeat songs swim in the overall calmness and serenity that the album provides, creating a dynamic listening experience.
This will be Runnner’s longest tour to date, and will help feed the vagabond that lives inside of him. The concert is sure to stir up deeply settled nostalgia and his instrumentation will create an unforgettable atmosphere. Get your tickets here!
