Indie singer-songwriter Kate Bollinger is taking the stage at The Atlantis on Friday, Oct. 13. Based in Richmond, Bollinger makes songs that are infused with a dreamy, folksy thread. Bollinger’s recent EP Look at it in the Light, is a mellow stroll in a beautiful garden, each song open to listener interpretation. Bollinger excels at incorporating the minutiae of everyday life into her songs, giving them a grounding quality that is emphasized by the lilting melodies. Bollinger is currently on tour, and will later be opening for Liz Phair. She has also recently released a single entitled “You at home.”
Doors for the show open at 6:30 p.m., with musician Sam Burton opening. Tickets can be found here.
