Prepare for an unforgettable night as Kesha takes the stage at The Anthem on Oct. 29. This one-night-only performance is part of her ‘The Only Love Tour,’ in support of her latest LP, ‘Gag Order,’ which dropped earlier this year. Originally named ‘The Gag Order Tour,’ Kesha made a heartfelt announcement announcing the change via Instagram, expressing, “Life is too short, and I want to celebrate the freedom and love in my life with all of you.”
Kesha, who burst onto the music scene in the early 2010s, quickly rose to fame with an impressive ten top-ten singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Her energetic party pop anthems from that era still resonate with those of us who came of age during that time. However, her more recent albums have revealed a more personal sound, departing from her earlier hits. In the latest album Kesha appears to exorcise much of the emotional turmoil stemming from her nearly decade-long legal battle involving allegations of rape and defamation against the music producer Dr. Luke, a battle that only reached a settlement this summer.
Kesha’s music has taken a bold turn, blending elements of grunge and folk, and she’s set to deliver a captivating performance in Washington, D.C. This show nears the midpoint of her tour, with supporting pop musician Jake Wesley Rogers.
