UK post-punk band Squid will bring their O Monolith tour to DC’s famous 9:30 Club in under two weeks. Forming in Brighton in 2016, the band released several critically acclaimed EPs before signing to Warp Records in 2020.
They released their debut album the following year, which hit number four on the UK charts. The band has cited Neu! and This Heat as influences, and has incorporated krautrock, new wave and even ambient elements into their music. Their sophomore record, O Monolith, adds new elements and a sense of focus to the band’s sound.
