Dorian Electra will be playing a show at the 9:30 Club on March 7. This tour follows their newest album, Fanfare, which explores contemporary social themes through various theatrical genre-bending tracks. This internet electro-pop darling got their first break with a feature on Charli XCX’s 2017 track “Femmebot” and has since released three albums and a variety of collaborations with the likes of Lady Gaga, 100 Gecs, Pussy Riot, Tove Lo and others. A highlight track on this album, “Sodom & Gomorrah,” reimagines the biblical story of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah as tourist attractions in this sexy track imbued with fanaticism and visual motifs of consumerist fan culture.
