Los Angeles-based artist Kid Bloom is coming to D.C.’s Union Stage on March 7 for the Inner Light tour, his largest North American tour to date. He began releasing music in 2016 with his first EP Different State of Mind, and gained immediate popularity and support. His music usually is labeled as indie-rock, but Kid Bloom includes elements from electronic, 70’s and 80’s pop and psych-tinged indie genres, while pulling inspiration from Tame Impala, The Weeknd and David Bowie. His newest EP and tour namesake, Inner Light (Phase 1), kicks off with “Dead Butterflies,” a groovy pop-esque sound that will be sure to bring a great vibe to his shows.
