WRGW Statement in Solidarity of Student Right to Protest

As a student-run radio station, WRGW District Radio is built on the First Amendment rights of the freedom of speech and of the press. Our peers are being suspended and stripped of their access to housing, food security, and restroom services by simply partaking in their right to peacefully protest. WRGW unequivocally condemns the university’s blatant threat to student safety and our First Amendment right to assembly. We urge President Granberg and the GW Administration to uphold their responsibility to the students they are meant to protect, and we encourage our station members and student body to stand in solidarity with student expression.
