New York based electronic music group Sofi Tukker is coming to DC after an exciting album release; they’ll be performing new and old hits at The Anthem on Oct. 5 at 7:30 PM. The music group is made up of two artists, Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern. They’re best known for their hits “Drinkee” and “Best Friend” but they’ll carry a new energy from their newest album, BREAD into the upcoming October show. Bread has been described by AP News as “a controlled chaos of jungle pop” which pairs seamlessly with an emotional side of the duo that hasn’t been seen before. Songs off the album such as “Throw Some Ass” mix emotive lyrics with a party-like beat, thus creating a unique sonic experience.
