The Stews, a rising Southern indie rock and jam band, will headline the 9:30 Club this Saturday, September 27th. Known for their explosive live shows, the four-piece band blends the raw grit of classic rock with modern indie intensity, creating a sound that swings between singalong anthems and heavy, headbanging jams.
Forming at Auburn University during the pandemic, The Stews: Preston Hall (vocals, guitar), Wyatt Griffith (drums), Blake Dobbs (guitar), and Bennett Baugus (bass) built their reputation in the Southeast before dropping out in their final year and relocating to Charleston, SC, to pursue music full-time. Their latest album, Chicken Fight pushes their sound further, weaving blues, jam, and hard rock influences.
Fans can expect to hear favorites like “Make it Out” and “Notions,” along with new standouts such as “Chicken Fight” and “Hourglass,” delivered with the electrifying stage presence that has made them one of the best young rock bands of the new generation.
The show begins at 8:00 PM. Find tickets for The Stews at 9:30 Club here.
