By Elsa Geer

French indie pop artist Redcar, also known as Christine and the Queens, will be performing at the Lincoln Theater on Sunday, Oct. 22. Redcar is best known for creating poignant electronic pop that addresses issues related to gender, identity and sexuality. His 2014 debut album, Chaleur Humaine, features popular singles like “St. Claude” and “Tilted,” the latter of which was featured in Pamela Adlon’s hit drama Better Things. His newest album, PARANOÏA, ANGELS, TRUE LOVE, is an exploration of grief that is heavily influenced both the loss of his mother in 2019 and the depiction of the 1980s AIDS crisis in the play Angels in America. Unlike his previous works, this album is written almost entirely in English.

Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show begins at 8 p.m. The show is sold out, but more information about the show can be found here.
