Tkay Maidza, Zimbabwean-born Australian singer-songwriter and rapper is taking the stage at Howard Theatre on Feb. 27, touring her new album Sweet Justice. Maidza came into the music scene when she was around 18-years-old with her debut single “Brontosaurus” in 2013. She’s continued to explore her music style through her trilogy of EPs titled Last Year Was Weird, Vol. 1-3. Sweet Justice continues to represent Tkay’s musical discovery with 90s R&B-esque songs like “Won One” and smoother, dance/funk songs like “Our Way.” Maidza’s artistry extends beyond her songs into her music videos, album covers and fashion choices.
