Folk-pop trio, Trousdale, will be playing a sold-out show at DC9 next Saturday, October 14th at 7:30 pm. They are touring their album “Out Of My Mind,” which was released earlier this year. Trousdale’s sound is reminiscent of the harmonic and sincere music of groups like The Staves and The Chicks. Their breakout single “Wouldn’t Come Back” uses rounds and heavy Americana folk influence to address the feelings present when leaving a harmful and taxing relationship. The group is made up of three young women: Quinn D’Andrea, Georgia Greene and Lauren Jones. Their recent branding presents them in powerpuff-girl-like colors, in green, pink and blue respectively. The band pledges a message of self-acceptance and empowerment, especially for young women. Trousdale’s music and imagery definitely lend themselves to a bright and heartfelt atmosphere of self-love for their audience.
