CONCERT PREVIEW: Valley @ 9:30 Club, 10/1

By Lexi Plaisted

Valley, an indie-pop band hailing from Toronto, Canada, will be setting out on the North American leg of their ‘Water the Flowers, Pray for a Garden Tour,’ making D.C. their third stop.

Their distinct sound blends indie pop, synth-pop, and alternative rock, characterized by vocal harmonies and an interesting mix of acoustic and electronic elements that pull together their cohesive sound. Valley’s sound is uniquely layered, making it a favorite among fans of indie and alternative pop scenes. Their new album ranges from its upbeat and airy title track, to the more introspective and dynamic “Let It Rain.”

Fresh off the release of their album ‘Water the Flowers, Pray for a Garden’ on August 30, 2024, the band will be touring select cities in North America with support from rising stars including bedroom pop duo Mickey Darling and alternative singer-songwriter Charli Adams.
