Musician, photographer, and journalist Patti Smith is currently on a book tour, where she is promoting her latest work, A Book of Days. The new book is composed of more than 365 images taken over a single year combined with Smith’s reflections, all in her recognizable aesthetic. The book is a “timeless offering for deeply uncertain times, an inspirational map of an artist’s life.” Smith became prominent in the New York City punk rock movement in the 70s with her album “Horses.” The award-winning author of M Train and Just Kids will be speaking at the Sixth & I Historic Synagogue in Chinatown on Thursday, Nov. 17.
