Fresh from releasing his debut album SEA/SONS, Abraham Alexander is embarking on a fall tour and stopping at DC9 on Thursday November 9th. The rising star has received great critical reception for his seamless blend of soul, folk, pop, and R&B.
Abraham Alexander has had an impressive cast of musicians supporting him at the start of his career. He was inspired to pursue music by a chance meeting with Leon Bridges, quit his job after being asked to open for Ginuwine, and on SEA/SONS he features modern guitar hero Gary Clark Jr. and R&B legend Mavis Staples. For his smooth voice, uniquely lived in sound, and ability to find joy in spite of hardship, Alexander was Named one of NPR’s Favorite New Artists of 2023. His show next week is sure to be full of beautiful noise.
